Indoor Temperature
The air temperature measured near your thermostat.
—
—
Indoor Humidity
Average moisture level across your home. Healthy range is below 60%. Sustained higher levels can lead to mold, dust mites, or discomfort.

Your A/C
Whether your system is actively cooling, heating, or resting. We determine this by watching the temperature difference between what goes in and out of your A/C.
—
—
Runtime Today
How long your A/C has been running today. Typical Florida homes run 6–12 hours per day in humid weather.

Humidity over time
Green band shows the comfortable range. Above 60% for long periods can lead to mold or discomfort.

What do these numbers mean?
Plain-English explanations of humidity, mold risk, and cooling.
▼
Humidity (Relative Humidity, RH)
The amount of moisture in the air compared to the maximum it can hold at that temperature. In a Florida home, you want to stay below 60% to avoid mold and that "muggy" feeling. Above 65% for extended periods can cause real problems.
Why does humidity matter?
High humidity is what makes Florida uncomfortable even when the temperature is fine. It also feeds mold, dust mites, and warps wood. Your A/C's job isn't just cooling the air — it's pulling moisture out of it.
Attic readings
Your home has encapsulated attic areas, meaning the attic is sealed and should be close to the same temperature and humidity as the rest of your home. When an attic area shows much higher humidity than your conditioned space, it means moisture is building up there — which can damage structure or grow mold.
Why does your A/C "rest"?
A properly-sized A/C runs in cycles. It cools, reaches the thermostat setting, then rests. On hot humid days it may run longer to keep pulling moisture out. On cooler days or nights, short bursts are normal.
What's a "healthy" humidity reading?
For most Florida homes: 45–55% is ideal, 55–60% is comfortable, 60–65% is borderline, and above 65% sustained is when you should pay attention.
